Model Edukasi Konservasi melalui Pendekatan Layanan Ekosistem Lamun bagi Anak Sekolah Dasar

Lingkungan laut mengalami tekanan yang dalam banyak kasus menyebabkan kerusakan permanen, sementara kesadaran anak usia sekolah dasar terhadap pentingnya ekosistem lamun masih relatif Anak-anak umumnya hanya mengenal hutan mangrove dan terumbu karang sebagai ekosistem pesisir, sehingga lamun kurang mendapat perhatian meskipun memiliki fungsi ekologis penting sebagai penyerap karbon, habitat biota, dan penahan sedimen, serta penyedia jasa ekosistem bagi kehidupan pesisir. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model edukasi konservasi melalui pendekatan layanan ekosistem lamun sebagai sarana meningkatkan literasi laut, pengetahuan, dan sikap peduli lingkungan pada anak sekolah dasar. Model yang dikembangkan menekankan keterkaitan antara manfaat ekosistem lamun dengan kehidupan sehari-hari secara kontekstual. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran interaktif melalui permainan edukatif, pembuatan poster kreatif, observasi sederhana, serta diskusi kelompok yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat perkembangan kognitif anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan anak dari 34,66% menjadi 74,66%, yang diikuti dengan partisipasi aktif, kemampuan mengaitkan peran lamun dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, serta munculnya sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan pesisir. Model ini juga terbukti mampu menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, kontekstual dan mudah dipahami. Dengan demikian, pengenalan ekosistem lamun sejak dini menjadi langkah strategis dalam membentuk kesadaran lingkungan dan mendukung keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir.
